In 2019 Ernie Ball Music Man will be heating things up with incredible limited edition runs of several of their artist series models including a new John Petrucci Majesty, a Jason Richardson Cutlass 7-String, a Dustin Kensrue StingRay, Hunter Hayes Cutlass 6-string and a new short scale Sterling Bass. These limited edition runs will be heading out to stores throughout the year and will be announced each month on our blog as they arrive in our store. One of the flagship vessels of the Ernie Ball Music Man fleet of superior quality instruments, the 2019 Majesty guitar will be released in a limited edition Tiger Eye finish. Featuring a three-piece Honduran mahogany neck with a center strip of highly figured maple and an Alder body with carved maple top with an incredible Tiger Eye polyester gloss finish applied to the entire instrument. The 24-fret ebony fingerboard is embossed with white pearl shield position markers, and the ultra thin neck is topped with a matching figured maple headstock. Equipped with new custom designed DiMarzio Dreamcatcher and Rainmaker signature pickups, this limited edition Tiger Eye finish Majesty also features a push/push volume control with a 20dB gain boost, giving it an outrageous lead tone. Offered in both 6 and 7 string editions, this limited edition Majesty will be in stores in April of 2019 in North America and in May worldwide.

The Jason Richardson Artist Series Cutlass 7 was designed for renown shredder Jason Richardson and features an trans Alder body with a Buckeye Burl top and high output Ernie Ball Music Man humbucker pickups. The slender figured roasted maple neck is designed for speed and comfort, featuring a 24-fret ebony fretboard with jumbo stainless steel frets. This special edition Cutlass features a specially designed, ultra contoured bottom horn, offering incredible access to the highest register of the fingerboard, making it possible to shred from one end of the ultra slender neck to the other with lightning speed and ease. Specially designed Ernie Ball Music Man 7 pickups offer bright, clear highs and crunchy heavy rhythm tones and a floating Cutlass tremolo contributes to the sonic mayhem while Schaller locking tuners ensure tuning stability. Available worldwide in July 2019.
Richardson Cutlass 7 Demo
This limited edition Dustin Kensrue StingRay guitar, designed in collaboration with Dustin Kensrue of Thrice, features a light yet highly resonant African Mahogany body with a Vintage Burst satin finish and a tinted satin maple neck with a 22-fret maple fretboard and jumbo stainless steel frets. The electronics and pickups make this limited edition StingRay extra special. With a Humbucker in the bridge position and a single coil in the neck position, the Dustin Kensrue limited edition StingRay delivers a host of new sonic variations due to its unique control-layout which includes stacked tone and volume pots and a 3-way pickup selector switch that allows you to isolate and blend selected humbucking and single coil tones. An additional push button switch toggles the signal between mono and stereo output where each pickup can be isolated and sent to either tip or ring. Hardware includes an Ernie Ball Music Man tremolo system and Schaller locking tuners to ensure tuning stability. This special edition Stingray also includes a laser etched neck plate with a custom Dustin Kensrue logo. Available worldwide in May of 2019.
Kensure StingRay Overview
Made in collaboration with country singer and songwriter Hunter Hayes, the 2019 Hunter Hayes Cutlass features a lightweight Alder body with a roasted maple neck and pickups made to Hunter’s precise specifications to accentuate this guitar’s wide-ranging sonic possibilities. The unique electronics in the latest Hunter Hayes Cutlass features three volume knobs and a 5-way pickup selector switch operating the three Ernie Ball Music Man Custom single coil pickups in the traditional configurations. With the second volume knob you have the option of blending in piezo acoustic tones from the piezo bridge saddles with any of the magnetic pickups, and with the third volume knob you can blend the neck single coil with the bridge or middle single coils to add depth and warmth to your tone. An additional on/off toggle switch allows you to add a 20db volume boost to any magnetic pickup selections, giving you increased volume for lead playing or whenever it is desired. Available in May of 2019 worldwide, the Hunter Hayes Cutlass guitar comes in a metallic blue finish and features a special neck plate embossed with a laser etching of Hunter’s signature.

This limited edition StingRay Special is a passive bass with a 30“ scale length, allowing for easy playability thanks to the shorter spacing that is required between frets. Featuring an Ash body with a hard Rock Maple neck and your choice of a Maple or Rosewood fingerboard, this special StingRay bass has been designed to deliver a warm tone thanks to its passive high output neodymium magnet Ernie Ball Music Man humbucker pickup. With a 3-way rotary switch, you can select between three modes including parallel, true single coil, and series, which can be augmented by a special push/pull volume pot providing a passive bass boost. Just like its full scale big brother, the StingRay Special, this limited edition short scale StingRay comes equipped with a modern classic bridge, stainless steel frets, and lightweight Music Man tuners. The short scale StingRay Special will be available worldwide in September of 2019 in three finishes.

Several of Ernie Ball Music Man’s classic models will be available with exciting new features and in your choice of three new finishes in 2019, including the StingRay RS and Cutlass RS guitars.
